@Johnsond

Should Reform win an election, how long do you think it will be before they move to privatise the NHS and implement an insurance based health care system?

I’ve no idea. But I do know the NHS and Care system is failing those whom have put in all their working lives. Me personally I’ve recently had to pay privately for a minor surgery or wait 12-18 months on the NHS, I’d easily opt out and pay insurance for me and my family. Not everyone has that option I know but whilst it’s being used to care for tens of thousands of illegals and those who have never put a penny into it I’ll probably keep those views. I can easily see a basic and plus type service set up coming in at some point as the current system is just not sustainable or fair.

It's not at all easy to work out how much each working person puts in to the NHS - we can estimate our NI over a working life, but subtracting out for the state pension how to do that?

It's so complex I'm resigned to just having whatever is offered, maybe I'll go private for small stuff like hernia ops and already forced to for denstist. I'd still rather live here than in US. There is waste in NHS and people getting it all for no input, but in America there are so many profiteers, medical excellence yes, but profiteers at every step of the way. One customer was over there, caught a chest infection, on oxygen for a bit £20000, had to haggle with his travel insurance for reimbursment. £20k for a bottle of O2 and some antibiotics. The hospital food must have been lobster, chablis, fillet steak

You're lucky you can afford private healthcare.

Assuming the illegals issue is resovled by Farage, as he seeks to do, how long then do you think it will be until Reform privatise the NHS?

Farage is on record as saying that he favours an insurance based system for everyone, not just those in well paid jobs.

It’s not luck Mark it’s hard graft, sacrifice and perseverance 🤷‍♂️luck plays zero part in it. I don’t have private health care. In this case I had  a choice and took it, NHS consultant doing 1 day a week private stuff in an NHS facility 🤷‍♂️

I’ve already said “ no idea “ it’s a purely hypothetical question at this point anyway.

I agree it's hypothetical, but you've stated you support Reform, and they have stated that they want to privatise the NHS.

Do you hypothettically support the privatisiation of the NHS for all UK citizens?

No i don’t.

But it’s an unsustainable unfair failing inefficient behemoth of an organisation, with a ludicrous amount of high paid pen pushers in its midst.
I support reform but like all political decisions it’s a trade off, I don’t have to agree with every decision or policy . Me personally, could I afford a health care package for my family with one of the providers 🤔yeah I could as could many of us, the question is should I have too after paying into the system since I was 16 🤷‍♂️. The insanity of it is the fact I get the same level of treatment as an illegal immigrant arriving yesterday or a person who’s never worked a day in their lives Mark, you think that’s fair or sustainable.

Okay, Reform have already said they'll sort out illegal immigration.

Stopping the boats might take longer than privatising the NHS would.

If they privatise the NHS prior to stopping the boats, will you still feel happy that most people who have paid NI have no direct access to medical care?

Think of all the people you know who have been helped by the NHS. That's what reform wants to monetise. Who is going to get the money from that?

What part of “ no I don’t “ do you struggle to comprehend Mark. I’ve answered you !!. Where was happy even mentioned?? Come on you are going the same route as that clown SP just making shit up.
How about the questions I put to you about illegals and those who have never put a penny in getting the same as those who have contributed from the day they started working??.
NHS is like HS2 Mark you can throw unlimited cash at it but you won’t fix it.
