Think about it.

I have, what single factor would have prevented the person getting injured ??

You are just focusing on one thing and one thing only. There are probably multiple reasons that would have prevented him from getting injured but youre just focusing on the fact that he was praying is why he was injured.

Am I wrong?

You didn’t answer the question Mesterh did you ??
What single thing would have prevented him being injured.

Reading this, I am making an assumption - partly based on your bias against anyone whose religion is not of your approval, JohnsonD - that you are inferring that the man was crushed because he was praying and a Muslim?

This must go down as one of the most ludicrous things you have ever typed on this forum. If I was you I'd be checking what gas is in those Scuba tanks you sniff all day long.

Now that the HSE are involved - their primary work is accidents in the work place - the mans place of work. He could equally have been under the car doing an oil change, as anything else. Now your obsession tonight is a single point of failure has caused this, and that single point of failure is that single thing that could have been done to prevent an accident.

Truth is, we don't know, which is why the HSE are investigating. I am surprised that you are unaware what the HSE do in investigations. When their investigation is completed we will know.

I will bet you, lets say, your vanity van that the cause of the accident is not 'Act of a god' (you can pick the god too if you want).

It will be something such as poor maintenance, overriding a safety mechanism, operator error. In fact if you have ever read any reports by the HSE, fatal accidents usualy stem from humans doing something they shouldn't or not maintaining something they should. I've never seen one report saying 'act of god'.

If you want to continue to spou your racism, this isn't the forum for it.

THE. CAR. NOT. FALLING. ON. HIM.

Everyone else can understand that is the reason why he was injured.

It doesn't matter if he was praying to jesus christ , having tea with his mother or standing under that car for 4 hours while swapping out a gearbox. The car falling on him caused the injuries and the reason why it fell is probably the reason why the firm was fined.

Why do you think one single thing is the answer?

Having used a two post hoist more times than I can remember, it is apparent the vehicle was not on the pads as it should have been, ie; balanced correctly, the nationality, religion, or the color of his feckin' overalls has no bearing on the outcome, journalists need sensationalism to sell the product, HSE don't care about whether he's black, white, muslim, or feckin' martian, but they will find who is at fault, after an investigation, and take appropriate action.

this thread is titled "making the news today"

this made the news, with a headline designed to attract attention,. but as always the poster has been accused of racism, by the usual group of people, and a load of the usual inconsequential nonsense spouted.

If a car fell on Donald Trump  no doubt those same accusers would be posting something very different.

isn't there an old saying,,, "don't shoot the messenger"

fact; there are 1.644 billion cars in the world, not one of the feckers fell on kier starmer.  now that would be a sensational headline to sell copy.

He was under the car on his knees not paying any attention whatsoever to his surroundings, if he had not been then he’d not have ended up with a car on top of him 🤷‍♂️
