The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is an American family of single-seat, single-engine, supersonic stealth strike fighters.

not made by Purdy, or  Rigby then,eh!:D

the UK supplies a significant number of components for the F-35 Lightning II, contributing approximately 15% of the aircraft's value. This includes items like the ejector seat, rear fuselage, and active interceptor systems, targeting lasers, and weapon release cables. The UK is also the second-largest supplier of spare parts for the F-35 after the US.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • 15% Contribution:
The UK supplies around 15% of the components for the F-35, including key areas like the fuel system and ejector seats.

  • Key Components:
The UK contributes to critical parts like the ejector seat, rear fuselage, active interceptor systems, targeting lasers, and weapon release cables, mainly through BAE Systems.

  • Spare Parts:
The UK is a major supplier of spare parts for the F-35, second only to the US.

  • Global Supply Chain:
The UK's involvement in the F-35 program is part of a larger global supply chain that includes over 100 UK-based tier 1 suppliers.

Anyhoo, the point being is that if we stopped arming them they would have to find another way to kill each other.

Action man, do you think that F-35's have guns on them?

F35 has a USA manufactured 25mm Gatling gun on it Mark. The UK supplies components for said aircraft including the Martin Baker ejection seat. They do not supply “ Guns” to the IDF Mark as you stated. So own  your clown sized shoes and doylem comments. Ffs a classic example of how uni isn’t for everyone.

I'm (as part of my unabomber arc) becoming a luddite. A friend asked me the other day when I thought technology should have stopped. She reckoned the age of the Nokia 3310. I said go back further, at least before machine guns. Now I love guns (and I wouldn't dream of telling anyone they can't have any) but it's mainly large criminal organisations like nation states using machine guns so I might be quietly pleased if they didn't exist. You wouldn't miss what you didn't know.

Might be. Not fully sure what I think about it yet.

Perhaps I should have said "weapon systems" instead of "guns". It's the same outcome as you well know.

Yes. Stop hiding behind details. That bloke over there kicked those children to death. Which foot did he do it with? **************** off.

Maybe but the Clown shoes, Doylem, Action comments suggested you were confident in your assertions. For my part any dumb arse knows the UK does not supply “ guns” to the IDF. Bit of news Mark Lockheed Martin spreads the risk in the supply chain, if the UK stops supplying components another source will fill the void.  To think anything else is naive to say the least
