I agree with Matty, but Rich Rule built his own and it works really well, he'd be the man to ask.

The setup Darrin put up looks pretty good.

I've built a few now and they are dead easy with decent elastic....the best one was with a foot loop rich made but I do prefer the velox system with 4srts floop over any thing else it just seems more compact and less difficult to snag.

Hmmm. I looked on their site but couldn't find any. Do you remember where it came from?

There you go bud.

I made one from Vectran with a core dependant Brummell. Left the cover on for show more than anything.

Anything like this

Exactly like that! How did they copy my idea?! Lol!

Anyway, the Camp Turbo rope grab would be the best grab for the job because as I stride the grab isn't perfectly aligned with the rope, therefore there is a bit of friction but it isn't a problem.

The Camp grab would be best so long as the leg strap can be attached at the top.

I experimented with bungee but it was too loose or restricted blood flow.

A Velcro or webbing strap is fine and can be simple as it only needs to hold the grab in place when not using it.

The most important component is the length of the cord between the grab and the boot. Basically the grab needs to be as close to the knee as possible.
