Nice. Extra hydraulic tank on the front?

Why is is that all the big valtra/valmets have oil filters that can be knocked off so easily.

yeah, there is a big hydra tank on the front with a horsing great pump below it. The filter thats ungaurded is the filter for the crane hydraulics, as fitted by wilsons when the botex was put on.

Ah you have a pump too. You'll tip the tractor over before you reach it's lift capacity with the pump up.

Previous owner specced it up when wilsons were doing the conversion. It feels light on the front end when the chipper is on and doing road work or steep climbs so i might ballast up the front tyres a bit.

They might already be water ballasted. Worth seeing if you can get some front wheel weights as you have a valtra it's a little easier to find such things. If not bit of belly ballast under the front might be an option.

has anyone owned or operated a nuffield 4/65 Before?? i have some questions. have driven a lot of older tractors but this one is a bit different.

it has had an engine conversion from a 4 cylinder to A 6 cylinder. goes well when i was driving it home untill it overheated!!

I had one many moons ago I never had any probs with overheating but they did seem renownd for overheating,I think it was put down to the fuel tank being in front of thr rad this is why most of them had the side grills removed to allow better air flow, perhaps you may have to fit a larger rad because if the extra 2cyl to cool. The 465 was only made for 2 years before it became the Leyland 270 the diesel tanks on these are on the front also but fitted flat allowing better airflow,I hope the Leylands are better because I just bought a 270 but she's not home yet so haven't had time to play.
