I've sold two saws in the last 6 months (357 and 346) that were in perfect, serviced order but were returned by the buyers (one bad fuel, one feeble idiot who literally couldn't pull over the saw).

Both times eBay issued them a full refund and I got shafted.

There is absolutely no way that eBay won't give the money back on this saw. Buyer is ALWAYS right in Ebayland.

Two negative in last twelve months,

Is a refund given after goods have been returned or before,

Might say never got it returned, then no refund, no saw

If you do it through paypal ( assuming you paid with paypal ) you have a longer time in which to return it . You have to open a case and if the seller wont take it back and they find in your favor you have to get an online checkable tracking number / Once it gets back paypal issue you with a refund including the original postage but not the postage for sending it back .

Yes through PayPal, see what happens

Pity though, nice saw

Think it would be worth repairing,

It would but why should you have to .....Its your call .....

Agreed but for the sake of some elbow grease, some oven cleaner and a new ring it would go again, looks like a simple seizure from no oil. The ring lands will need scraping with a bit of the old ring. A new meteor piston is less than 20 quid.

This is true but ......As we have both said what caused it .....You were using the same mix in your 254 unless it has been run with the wrong mix prior to you receiving it ...
