ARB Show 2016 - THANK YOU

Hi Paul,

A good show all ways round for me.

I was interested in knowing the subjects of the demos and contractors workshops up front but couldn't see that anywhere in the literature or on the website. I sent an email asking the above but didn't receive a reply. In the end I had to phone up to get the info. To be honest it was a bit frustrating as I had exactly the same problem 2 years ago.....

More clarity on this front would be good.

Cheers

Jamie

So another record? Congratulations. It really was hard to make out how busy the show was, was it spread out further than last year?

One thing that was noticeable(and confirmed by a couple of dealers I spoke to) was the lack of people walking around the show with new chainsaw purchases. Obviously thats not down to your organisation though, touch economy I guess and the APF this year all play a part, along with machines available at show rates all year round thanks to the internet.

Hi Steve, I bought a saw. I looked at an echo and a dolmar and decided on the echo 501sx. They were selling them at a discounted show price so I bought one there and then at forest and arb. They are £50 more now on their website.

Cool

and yes im sure plenty did buy says, but didn't see the usual quantity being carried around the showground, that was my point.

Let us know how you get on with the Echo.

I meant to get to their stand actually to look at hedgecutters. I did make it to the makita stand though and think I will be ordering a dolmar hedgecutter from Shavey in due course, it looked a nice piece of kit.

Really enjoyed the 2 days and it didn't feel cramped like some past years which was nice, went to buy a hedge cutter and big strimmer but all the dealers said the hadn't bothered bringing those this year as the apf is a better place to get interest in them.

People must have been spending as quite a few items of climbing gear were getting scarce by the end of Saturday.

A better pa system would be good to announce when demos were about to start as missed a few starting but enjoyed what we got to see.

Good job Paul and team, thank-you.

Thanks to all. A GREAT show

We at Vermeer had a great show. Interest was high across the stand. Dave Myres did a grand job for us on the demo stand.

Now to call back all the people who want a demo.
