Fiskars weed puller

was tidying up an old lady's garden yesterday when she produced one of these, normally I pay no attention to gardening gimmicks but as it was made by Fiskars I thought i'd give it a go. I must have pulled out hundreds of weeds from the lawn in no time at all and once i'd run the mower over the grass you couldn't see the holes left behind by the removed weeds. Have just ordered one off amazon as a number of my customers gardens could do with it. Just thought i'd share it with those of you who have a gardening run, though you probably already have one:001_huh:

Are you refering to to one of these? if so they are superb, weeds come up better when the ground is still damp but not enough so the plate sinks in to much.

Had one years, not bad for those weeds that like lie flat as a pancake on the grass..

Our tip shop always has a couple for sale so I have always assumed that they weren't much cop if people are chucking them out?

Funny coincidence, I looked at mine today, sat in the greenhouse, I was seduced by the tv ad, so I got one, they are good but I'm a bit too lazy.

Depends how one defines "faster", faster to do the job or faster for the lawn to be completely green again? In my view pulling wins hand down as the bare patches can be seeded immediately the weed is extracted .

this particular job was paid by the hour so using the weed puller was more beneficial to me and the customer, I got an extra hours wages and the customer didn't need to spend days looking a dead yellow weeds all over her lawn, instant improvement!

well if you get paid per hour you do what the customer wants but most people i meet won't pay for that !

also the lawns i look after that are bothered about weeds generally want me to use weed killer or do there own treatments
