Any robinia pseudoacacia advice appreciated

im crown reducing (25%) a 18m robinia this weekend and as ive never worked on this tree i thought it might be prudent to ask for some advice (sensible please!....) as to any quirks or things to look out for on this tree?

Has the tree been reduced or pruned before? If so, it's probably best that we don't tell you 😝

I felled one on my front lawn . 5 years later the regen from the stump was above my head so obviously coppices well .

Get a solid anchor, other than that just another day in the office mate

Keep what you can for firewood, burns very well

I work on plenty, comes back strong, difficult to find good growth points to come back to.

Consider working to shape rather than fussing too much on drop crotching.

The Frisia ( yellow one ) is very susceptible to die back on the top limbs

And if you get Casque rouge , extremely brittle
