I would be very careful of welding on your grinder if it has a remote control, i would have a look in the operates manual. I have a carlton 7015trx I am positive it says disconnect the radio receiver before welding. It's worth a quick look.

The part i'm going to weld on is the safety guard in the front, I did cut it off and made it bolted on, so I could take it off and reach in near fences and walls. But I have changed my mind and will weld it back on again. Mainly due to the annoying rattling sound it makes at times.

I need to get some welding done on my stump grinder.

 

Will this be alright ? it's remote controlled, so what i'm thinking, will this

damage the electronics ?

 

disconnect all remote wiring
