Hi , just about to start a clearfell (120 tonne),of straight ash and sycamore all between 8 inch and 16 inch diameter . Looking to sell probably June , july time , job is in west Cumbria ,access and loading on Tarmac road , anybody any idea on best roadside prices at the moment

nice one stubby ! just as id hoped , ill be able to afford an island in the carribean rather than a new saw and boots this year , glad i took the job on now

I think you will find price varies from region to region. I bought stock in October, largely birch and ash and paid £50 per ton delivered plus vat. As with anything though, ask what you want and then you can always come down in price/negotiate.
