I have some untreated douglas on a log store door that I made 12 years ago, it is a lovely silver now. Hopefully this will do the same.

Yep, it's just a personal thing I guess, weathered, silver wood just doesn't appeal to me, each to their own!

Looks very smart. I really like the colour of the windows and doors as a contrast, it can be overkill when people go wild with 'total wood'.

The tree was courtesy of JimM here on Arbtalk, and came from Rafford in Morayshire. I do believe he has photos/videos to add to this thread :D

Yeh, that was a Douglas I pruned. Pruned the top 30ft from 100 up. ;-)

A few more to come out from the same location. I'll sort the video from up top and stick it on here.
