Most Jensen blades are 310 nm I put a thread up the other day about torque wrenches , I've bought a teng tool one 135 quid does up to 370 I believe or something like that. I think the bolts on a timber wolf 150 are around 80 nm but there tiny in comparison to other chipper blades

Looks like I'll have to shell out then, cheapest I found was about £70 on eBay. upto 400nm

Big investment for all be it useful but rarely used tool.

Yeh it does seem a lot but I had a set of blades shatter on a Jensen and ruined the machine , not sure if was anything to do with bolts not being tightend enough but , 70 quid for piece of mind isn't a lot in the grand scheme of chipper prices !

IMO...... I really do think that the big chipper companies should supply a calibrated torque wrench which is suitable and pre set to there blade recommendations ....and can not be changed ? Makes sense to me . I also have other ideas ...... Although speaking with others at the moment so mums the word ...... :001_smile:
