Still not seeing the point of the f8 though Rich. Surely a girth hitch (or Munter hitch if you want it to be able to move better) straight to the krab would do the same job?

 

It would do the same but you can also use a fig 8 as a ring on other redirects or spare work. 1 tool, 2 uses.

I don't use one mate. I just use a small crab and sling for most of mine or the thing judge developed.

 

I was just trying to explain how it would work.
