What do people pay?

Nope, never used that as a sales pitch

Where I come from big firms charge £1,500 a day for a two man squad, I always assumed it was because of the dangers involved, I know when people ask me how I can justify charging £200 a day I politely tell them chainsaws aren't toys!

You don't think tree work is dangerous??? is that not a key sales pitch:confused1:

Its dangerous if you don't know what your doing, but there are very safe ways of doing our job.

Otherwise we would never get started as the RA could not be completed.

I would say there are still plenty of dangerous variables no matter how skilled you are. Felling trees is not an exact science, no matter how long we've been doing it, we can only reduce the risks, not eliminate them?

Also, who the hell is getting £1500 a for your average long haired, tattooed, stoner, transit, timberwolf two man team?

Not that i've ever heard.

The only people I know charging near that are running specialist kit which costs a lot. Also they are generally smarter than the average bear!

If felling is risky, you climb and dismantle. Sure there can be human error, but you should choose a safe method.

I've cocked up a couple of times, was always stupidity on my part, not inherent danger of the job.
