Just carved this attempt at a Duck for the first time, i was reasonably happy with this once i decided how to keep its strength when i had carved the feet.

Cor, you are certainly churning them out fast now!

What wood is this duck made from?.... it better watch out for Mr Grumpy (and very hungry) Fox!

Cheers Steve, the Fox is delivered to the customer so the duck is safe until i next get the saw out and another creature appears.

 

The wood was a piece of oak with 3 coats of tung oil applied.:biggrin:

Even though your comments about the fox were right I think he is good ... character does make you smile. The Duck is great ... I'd be chuffed with him. Sometimes a bit of paint does help.:thumbup1:
