The only thing that I've noticed with the 2510tes is that it seems like there is significantly more vibration than with the ms150. But I suppose with such a small light weight engine/body it's difficult to suppress this vibration.

I haven't yet from echo about the recall. I can't see anything on the uk website about it. As far as a replacement saw. I'd really like to try the cs360 rather than the cs280. I think they're pretty similar in price, So it'd be great if that was a possible option.

Just took mine back to honeys and got a refund straight away! Just paid extra and bought a 201 tcm! Trusty silky for anything smaller now!

I'm going to use the 280 and then get the 2511 when it comes out... Worst case scenario is I don't like either and sell them for a profit?? I don't think that will be the case though

One other modification for the 2511 MUST be to use 'normal' screws for the carb adjusters.

Just ask for the designated set of 'tools' when you order your next saw. I did, and got the special set. I have posted a photo here a couple of months ago so you can find the parts number.

Check http://www.echotools.com and the actual manufacturers of echo, schindaiwa etc. the official recall is on those websites.
