Hello all,

I- along with a lot of others -love climbing on the zigzag, its so smooth and easy to use, however the only down side i see is its not midline attachable and for me it kinda annoys me that such a great product is just slightly let down by this.

Im no expert or engineer but surely the boffins at petzl could come up with a design that allowed the zigzag to be midline attachable...possibley a swing cheek version.

Anyone any other ideas...

Thanks all stay safe

Mk 1 was a disaster and Mk 2 had its problems, leave well alone IMO

You dont think improving a climbing device is worth it ?

The mk 1 & 2 had issues granted but the mk3 hasnt,im not questioning the design i just think it could be improved upon by making it midline attachable

Simple really. The potential increase in sales to be made by making it midline attachable are not enough to justify the expense of completely redesigning and re manufacturing a product.

Think about it. What percentage of potential buyers decided not to get one just because it wasn't midline attachable? It didn't stop you, or any other user!

Fwiw my hitchclimber is midline attachable. Still stays on my line 90% of the time though!

That's just you putting words in my mouth and its you that's decided it needs improvement I think its just fine as is, given the track record I say now its OK, leave it alone.
