The 35 in a 60 Club

My driving instructor was superb; I was told to keep UPTO the limit where safe to do so and not to get to a roundabout, stop and then look to see if anything is coming round! Even the advanced driving course teaches you that; observation beyond the immediate surroundings.

I swear some people get the middle and right hand pedal mixed up.

Another thing, you've got the slow coach holding up 10+ cars and yet you're knackered because the several immediately behind the prat are content to sit there, also doing 28 in a 60 limit. What is wrong with people. I honestly don't get it.

Cuz if you do it the other way, dart straight over, ya get in trouble with the old bill.

I shot over a roundabout one Sunday morning when I was in a rush to help a mate out. Copper sat just off the roundabout clocked me and 'gave me a pull'....... Result: breath tested..... Over the limit from the night before....... 12 month ban, 300 quid fine........ Twenty odd years ago.

These days I tend to be one of those that annoy TCD, on and off the roads.

Hi and I got the Toyota in 60 I do 40 it great on fuel in a 20 in bath I do 18 mph it great I just go steady now thanks Jon

I took a driver improvement course (instead of getting done for DWDC) we went out with an advanced driving instructor and we were told to read a roundabout as we approached it and slowing well before if this meant we did not need to stop, roundabouts are "give way" not "stop".

It may have been something else about your driving that tipped him off, because I not stopped at a roundabout unnecessarily for decades and never been pulled for it.

TCD you are a grumpy git :laugh1: You must have gotten behind someone like my dear old mum, she believes that motorways have a slow, medium and fast lane. She will go along with the lorries at about fifty and if she wants to do sixty she moves out into the middle lane. If she`s felling a bit racy she will move into the outside lane and do seventy. :laugh1:
