James Jones County tractor Highlander conversions

Hi

 

I'm new to this forum. I'm interested in forestry machinery and have a collection of vintage chainsaws.

 

I'm also into model engineering. I'd like to build a few models of James Jones converted County tractors. In particular a Highlander skidded and an 1164 Highland Bear forwarder. The earlier type machines with a Jones cab and the crane mounted directly on the roof.

 

Does anyone own such a machine I would be able to have a look at, and take a few pics and some measurements. I'm in West Sussex, near Worthing, but regularly travel to Tunbridge Wells, so ideally something around that area.

Classic tractor magazine featured one in brilliant conditition in the last two years. I think the owner had more than one forest machine as well.

I've got the jones cab and cranab 4510 sitting on the wrong county loaned out to a youngster near Peterfield if you get desperate.

Ok thanks, what County are they on?

 

As pretty much all the County's of the time were Ford 5000 based I think the cab assembly is the same for all of them, so could be useful
