TV Licensing

Ok people we are self employed and work ..... silly hrs 60 / 70 are normal per week .

I ain't got time to watch the crap that these Muppet's put out on the telly ?

I received a knock on my door this evening by a guy with a clip board .... struggling to speak English ?

Telling me that my TV license has expired ?

----------------------------------------------------

So I reply with yes it probably has ....... I /we work full-time and ain't got the energy to even watch general TV of an evening .

He reply's with ...... let me into your home so I can validate this ? him being very pushy .

-----------------------------------------------------

Flip side of the coin is that I now enter the conversation and take over from my good lady ... after my hot bath and this door knockers crap I,m like raging .

So if anybody could enlighten me on these matters it would be very much appreciated . Thanks Paul :001_smile:

BULL CRAP SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the sounds of it.

Where is / was his ID etc?

Sounds like he was wanting in to case your house for future burglaries!

Probably seen that you're a tree surgeon, so maybe wondering 'where' your gear maybe stored....

Surely you should have had a letter beforehand informing you of TV licence issue?

Also, I've read somewhere you don't need a TL if you only watch TV via 'catchup / iplayer' etc...??

But I think that 'loophole' maybe getting plugged soon.
