In 1968 Jimmy Page asked Terry Reid if he wanted to be the singer in a new project he was getting together, The New Yardbirds, Terry said sorry but he couldn't due to tour commitments with Eric Clapton's Cream in the USA. Terry suggested Robert Plant to Jimmy Page, Jimmy then found Robert Plant and the band came to be known as Led Zeppelin

Mariam and Amadou. The pair, known as "the blind couple from Mali" met at Mali's Institute for the Young Blind, where they both performed at the Institute’s Eclipse Orchestra, directed by Idrissa Soumaouro, and found they shared an interest in music, the rest as they say is history........
