Starting to get a bit fed up with the weather too- can just about get into fields to do fencing jobs but usually by the time the job is done its looking like a quagmire:thumbdown: Not only that but everything takes so much longer when your working in welly deep mud most of the time.

Always thinking of other ways to earn money with out having to rely on te weather.....

One of our contractor friends said they were trying to put off doing a big fencing job because the ground was so soft.... but the ground never firmed up and Glastir were insisting that the works were done within the contracted time frame.

 

So they got on with it but straining the wires was a nightmare (with the tensioning pulling the posts) and also made a huge mess of the fields.

Thanks for "Arbtalk",as at least one can see that there is usually someone having the same problems as oneself,if not worse.

Out of interest "The Farming Forum" is another good forum especially for machinery related problems.

I should think it is hellish all over the U.K today. Does your yard drain away ok Jon on the Mendips or are you in a valley, still hellish whatever!!!
