Are they not all the same?

What I mean is can't you just make some now so you have them ready?

there are dozens of sizes and styles so i can't make much for stock as they are sort of a custom order.

welsh skittles are 10" x 3 1/2"

most western skittles range from 4"-5" diameter by 10" tall.

somersets skittles are 12" tall and are 5"-6" diameter.

long alley are 14" tall with a metal ferrule at the bottom.

table skittles are 6" tall and dadlums are even smaller.

then you have the different shapes.

somerset, gloucester bristol, welsh, diamond, long alley, london skittles, daddlums and northamptonshire table skittles.

:sneaky2: I think you have missed the fact that this is clearly a marketing ploy:sneaky2:

Or am I just too cynical???:sneaky2:

you are not too cynical, just a good observation.

this is sort of a marketing ploy as i have never really done any advertising until now.

word of mouth has been good up till now but i think i should try a bit of advertising to see if it brings in any more revenue.

i've been making skittles for 5 years and have serviced 155 customers so probably turned about 180-190 seperate sets of skittles and balls.

other than the first year when i only had 12 customers (only started in may that year) i've had an average of 35 customers so i wanted to see if this went up with a bit of advertising.

i'm investing lots of money into the timber and have bought about 600 ft3 of wood to date (half of which is still drying for future use) so i will be well stocked for any eventuality or desire that the customer asks for.
