We have an ECOFAN 812, and it has eliminated the cold spots that were in the room prior to having a fan. The room temperature is now more consistent.

Hi mate that what we have push a lot of heat around the house it great BUT ONLY GET A ECOFAN no other make thanks Jon

Yes they do but not on a stove with a back boiler. You need a temp on the top of the stove of approx 200 degrees, back boiler stoves don't normally see 100 degrees on the outer due to the water jacket

be sure the temperature on top of your burner is enough to drive the fan. my woodburner has a back boiler so much of the heat is diverted to the plumbing and not enough to drive the ecofan i bought, so now i use a standard electric fan.

Yeah, boiler stove here too.

I use a mains/USB adaptor and a small USB fan, works well enough for a fiver altogether.

Sitting on the floor, blowing round the back of the stove.

We have a open plan, and it does help move heat towards the rear of the rooms.

A quick warning, while people have recommended the stove be hot, you can't have it off the scale hot as it will burn the motor out on the fan.

It's usually the TEG element that gets damaged by an overly hot stove. Before getting a replacement motor (or another Ecofan...) check if the motor still works first.

Our Ecofan 812 stopped working and I replaced the TEG with one off Ebay for a few £'s.
