Hi Andrew , just a quick dolmar question for you, does the 155 share any common parts with the 166 ?

Hello matty there isn't much shared between the 153 and 166 only basicly handles bar mounts starter cover with adifferent cup, on the chain brake side the arm that comes out is longer and the spring is different

Bigger crankshaft , piston , different style top cover petrol and oil tank are different because of the hand oiler and I think the chassis is longer on the 166

 

Engine wise the 144 , 152 and 153 are the same family

 

The 166 was new version of the dolmar CT and engine is similar size pilot of people who had the CT found it a better saw

 

Iam not a big fan of the 166 and found it a boring saw you better off getting rid of that ole dinosaur :lol:lol::lol:

Ha ha ha the ported 420 was delivered today Andrew.:thumbup:

Had a very brief shot of it this afternoon. Made me smile lots and lots. :biggrin:

 

Nice one Rod it is a little beauty its got a great sound , this time I booked Concorde I phoned the courier office and gave them the order number for the last shipment and said I don't want a repeat delivery :thumbup::thumbup:
