Yes it is. The pubs not there now though the landlady gave the pub up after she wouldn't let a couple of lads have a stop on so they bit a big chunk out of her husbands stomach :-)

That's so typical of the valleys......... I mean if your from there, a chunk of stomach would sound so appealing......... To your primal instincts

I hear that the local council have started using see through bin bags so that the residents can go window shopping. It's saves a lot of money on street cleaning.

Plenty of places in the UK I still haven't seen and seen some beautiful places in Wales and Scotland and would settle for somewhere in Yorkshire but truth is wherever I go I always end up back in the shire :)

Terrible to hear that. You would think that people who work in the service industry would be more aware of the needs of the local community.

So sorry to hear that the pub isn't there any more..... Was it stolen?

Well strangely enough within 48 hours it was sort of stolen bit by bit. But penrhys was my favourite. One day having a sandwich in my van watching the kids skateboarding except they were doing it on the roofs of 3 story blocks of flats. I never did figure out how they managed it

I live about 2 miles from where I was born and have done for 25 years, the furthest away I have lived is 5 miles, there is a lot to be said for live where you know, IMO.

Its nice to travel, but always nice to come home:001_smile:

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
