Alot of fine tuning, but its funny what a inch adjustment brings.

Exactly Darrin ,it took a few attempts Rec climbing to find the sweet spots that gave me full confidence in the system to use it for work.

I put a climber on my system to take out a hanger on Monday and had to do a Ariel rescue when the top of the hitch jammed in the wrench.. I've never had this happen ...But has probably put him off SRT !

Who knows mate. Looks a bit too complicated to me.

If you are going down the hitch route. I don't think you can beat a HC pulley, VT or friction hitch to suit, and a rope wrench connected to the same bina as the legs of the friction cord.

The additional wholes on the HC then allow you to connect the chest tether or neck tether in the choice of the two holes.

Edit: I have a Pinto pulley and always thought it looked sweet and compact... then as I was used to the HC, I could never get used to it mainly looking where to clip the tether.

See if you can get a go on a petzl rig or isc d4 based RAD system. Can use as 1:1 or 2:1 without any re-rigging. Not as fast on the way up as many systems but quick enough, and much less effort if on 2:1. Very smooth work positioning and slack tending, also easy to mid line attach with no risk of dropping the rig.
