Just watched a vid of a guy stateside running a 372 on a 16" bar, I'm guessing with an 8pin sprocket as well and he was flying.

I know they run an 18" fine but a 16" would let me use it for coppice work, but I think my arms may be a little longer by days end with the weight of it.

try it, it will be awesome fun. wont be as easy as running a smaller saw though and you'll probbaly find you get more chain stretch that normal. Push the boat out and source a 9 rim sprocket if its available

Hi

You may need a bar with a decent nose sprocket if you did, like Sugihara

I heard of someone with a 395 on 20", it destroyed the Husqvarna sprocket fairly rapidly but a Sugi was OK

Standard pulpwood/ringing set up over here stateside.

70cc, 3/8, 16", 8pin, bars hold up fine with sharp chains.

Dull chain and you try to push it, and it will burn the rails right quick.

So it's definetly doable then, I better have a chat with RobD see what he has available for it and get it running and out into the woods.

Would you say an 8 pin sprocket until I put the 22/24" bar back on and then out a 7 back on?

Definitely doable, andmay be even fun. People miss out a lot of fun fun stuff, to apply with what they think are rules......

Yep I would agree . keep it to 7 on the longer bars . I have a spud ported 372 and run it mostly on a 24" . Tried it with an 8 but it tended to bog a little with the loss of some torque so put it back to a 7 when using 24" .
