I found that a simple key rack inside the door for all keys minimises the problems.

If they're not on the rack or in the vehicle then start looking.

Keys are locked in a safe room at work when not being used.

It's the key I dropped in the yard which presented the problem.

No headtorch, rain, leaves and end of week fatigue.

Still, found it in the end but used up my lexicon of French naughty words doing so.

Geo-localisation key ring arrives Monday from Amazon.fr

Will put it to the test by attaching it to the ex-apprentice and burying him in the chip pile.

See if my smart phone can find him before he suffocates.
