We'll change of plan I've been to look at a good few acres of beech all on banks today so will need a 3 point linkage winch( long pulls and bigger trees).

So what winch have you got and what do you suggest ?

Hi HOLLY you said it long pulls with loads of wire on brim of winch when only out say 50mt when you have say 110mt on winch if you have a say 5:5ton igland your only going to be pulling say 2:5ton thanks Jon

Krpan 9 tonne or an 8.5 if you want an easy life. Get the folding butt plate with hydraulic cable spooling. as well as a full radio kit. Yes it will be expensive but the only winch you will ever need.

My advice would be spend the money now on getting a Electro hydraulic winch over a manual as it will make your life so much easier. Radio option will be another thousand or so but will save that over its life in efficiency.

Krpan also do double drum options and single drums with cableway reels on them.
