I thought algarve where a rip off. I seem to recall they where re-selling the same policy as bryant kesek but for far more so I changed.

Just checked out that insurance link and they say

"LI017 Damage to Property Within the Radius of the Height of Trees Excluded –

applicable to the Liability Section

We will not indemnify You in respect of Damage to property within the radius of the height of any tree being worked on by You"

 

Kinda defeats the object of having the insurance!

Can I be cheeky and ask in the region of what your paying for that or what sort of coverage youve got.

Im with lycetts and currently pay around £1200 for 1m Pl 10m el - but that dosent cover chainsaw use for el.

 

For my 5M PL and 10M EL with turnover of 100k i pay £2300.

They will not give you insurance without all the tickets Loler etc.....and they want copies of all cetificates.

Cheers for that ..think its worth getting a few quotes this time as ive got in the habit of sticking with algarve/lycetts in the past. Now there seem to be an explosion of companies wanting our business.

You'll find that it's the same with a lot of other insurers aswell.

Certainly not the case with my policy. The only exclusion I have is fires within 10 meters of a building.
