I know I could be refered to as an obsessional perfectionist but hows about trimming the plastic struts around the hole and how cool would it look if you brazed a little outlet pipe on the muffler.

 

 

 

Ah well, must just be me then:001_rolleyes::lol::lol:

 

 

It would look awesome but would be a nightmare to use, having a hot exhaust pipe poking out the side of the saw would burn hands and trousers in no time!

For anyone not wishing to void the warranty, fitting part 1137 140 0601 and removing the spark arrestor should provide a suitably large outlet for the exhaust gasses, whilst still being a Stihl approved part, like fitting magnum mufflers on ground saws.
