We had them (H14) on the LA in Surrey, brilliant winches, specially being able to drive through the gearbox on the PTO pack. Makes for a very powerful and controllable winch.

Still not decided between 130 & Iveco 4x4.

But wondered if anyone has thougths/experience on ability of Ramsey HDP10000 against the Ramsey HDP8000.

& how do either of the above compare against the Superwinch H14 PTO ?

Much obliged on any feedback :001_smil

.

forget ramsey&superwinches go for a milemarker h12 ,pto driven hydraulic pump . 2 winches on 2 l/rs 3years use no problems!

I have to disagree with the above sorry. I have the milemarker with PTO pump on my own 130 and while its a good winch it is not comparable to the Superwinch H14.

The H14 is a very heavy duty commercial winch not what you'd see in a landy mag. The winch is far better built and has a much larger drum capacity than that of my Milemarker H12. The H12 is good but it could never be compared to the Superwinch H14.

Hi put arb's or detroit in the rear and trutrack diff locks in the front and put a 2"lift and 35"tyres on a 130 and it will go off road better than a standerd 90. thats my opinion and ive been competing in winch challenge events since 2003 and i've been second in the uk twice.

h14 what a winch !!!!!!!!!!! if your mad enough the pto drop box off the back of the LT230 transfer box, there should be a red disk covering the clutch pack for the pto. Pop this off and seam weld the two discs together. This makes for a truely unstopable winch! Be warned you will either brake uj's or pull the front of the land rover off. and a little tip for you, the kawasaki quad bike uj's are the same size. power wise an average electric winch has 4 hp at the drum. if your running a standard 200 or 300 tdi with the mods above will give you 111bhp at the drum. hope this helps.

Nissan dont make anything bigger than the cabstar. The Canter is a Mitsubishi, dont know if they do a 4x4 version but from the 4x2 ones I'v driven, I dont think they would make a good off road vehicle.

i used to run a short wheel base 4x4 canter for the council and it was really good offroad-it was gutless on the road towing a BC1000 but came into is own off road but it had to have mud terrains. I think there very expensive in the uk though
