Did you lads flap around like a college boy a bit at first?

I'd had my strop on the right for years, and it was built into my muscle memory.

It wasn't till I started high-clipping my saw a few years back that I had to change.

Much better in every way.

why is it better on left when high clipping then? i've just got used to having my strop in left to avoid the saw on right!

 

 

I high clip my saw on the right, so swapped my lanyard to the left to avoid tangles.

I was taught by a lefty so I followed his set up. Chainsaw strop attached at back centre of harness, high clipped on left side on carrytool. Work positioning attached on right side. Also silky or left just in front and lower than carrytool. Don't have any problems. Tried switching but it's like learning to brush my teeth with my opposite hand
