Have you ever....

I have done a few 020's a 372 but it all started on a husky 335 exploding sprockets knackered oilers and split carb boots revving it up one day about 3 days after putting a new bar on and watching the sprocket glow red and shatter and listening to its pathetic splutter as I realised the boot had split again it got launched ... I think my boss finished it off and laughed hilariously whilst doing so ... I guess the idea is that the troublesome saw explodes in too a pile of dust never too be seen again, and buy a new one ... The reality is I am being a prima Donna **** who on getting home realises the cost of a new saw and will give spud a twisted wreck and demand it be fixed... I did nearly launch a nearly new 576 a few weeks back but restrained myself, and only muttered swear words at it instead.

Seen many across my bench:001_rolleyes: for some reason, not happy with the saw/trimmer not working, throwing the machine out of a hedge/tree and the following big repair bill makes the owner feel better:001_rolleyes::lol:

How about a bit of maintenance rather than treating the kit like crap and then the surprise when it finally fails to run! One of the trimmers had the choke gaffer taped in a certain position where it would just about start and also run:sneaky2:

Well...it beats having the carb serviced....doesn't it:confused1::sneaky2:

:thumbup1:

Treat it like you own it...... Simple really. If I saw somebody mistreating my kit I'd probably treat them the same.

Seen it done .

2nd this, I watched as a local tree climber lobbed a Husqy of some form or other outta the top of a big macracarpa (100' +) and when it hit the ground it exploded all over the place, he promptly disappeared off into town and came back with a couple of Stihl's vowing never to touch a Husqy again !...
