The greed and avarice of UK brokers affected the insurance premium costs in the UK Arb industry?

Really?

Surely you Jest?:D

It cracks me up the way people feel about the AA. at least they are trying to do some good. If you dont like them, dont join them, and stop whinging about them.

I used to be a member and wanted to become a AA appoved contractor.I got all the info and could not believe the things they wanted to control. It was more like being a franchisee than joining a trade organisation. What business is it of theirs how i take down enquires or book appointments?ectect.

And on their own figures, back then,it would cost £7500 plus all the time.

Plus because of the lack of uptake,it fails,as when any person or organisation gets quotes they normally get 3 and in most areas there are not 3 AA contractors and there costs are higher so the advantage is minimal.

I know i am somewhat anti authority and like to paddle my own canoe, but if AA approval was about good arb and was priced so small one or two man bands could see some benefit i'd be onboard.

The reason we whing is the organisation claims to represent the trade, but what percent of use are signed up to them?

Maybe some of use should get together, not to set up another trade organisation, but a lobby group to express our views to the AA in a more effective maner?

The aa is good but it needs to lower its rediculous standards there is such a thing as OTT.

NPTC should be more than acceptable i would only want to display there logo to show professionalism and if they stated to become a member you need say cs30-31-38-39 but have different classes for those with more tickets a higher class.

that would be fine it would show people you at least trained and competant and then the arb industry would all be aa aprooved increasing quality and reducing pikeys if people were informed only to use aa members and our prices wernt rip off then it would work.

As it is they will never be a great org only ok the do some good thats it.imo
