Buying petrol at Morrisons

Been told twice now quite severely by Morrisons that I can only fill one Jerrycan up at a time and its against the law to fill anymore than one at a time so called EU regulations. Anyone else had this problem?

Seems I remember stories about limiting fuel can fill ups couple years back, however that was due to rioting in certain locals. How can the EU limit the amount of fuel cans one can fill, insane!.

It is insane, went round to a independent petrol station to fill the other one up and they basically said fill as many as you want up. So will use them now.

I got told the same crap a few weeks ago at a Shell petrol station, so I looked it up. Unless things have changed since October 2014 it nonsense.

Our local Sainsburys are the same, she wouldn't let me fill my Stihl combi can up because it was the wrong kind of can even though it was correctly labelled, also steel jerry can couldn't be filled up! but i could buy 1 of their shitty made in china plastic cans and fill that never been back since.

Hi Simon this chap at Sainsburys frome got fed up in the end keep getting up out of his chair and coming out to me explain in my car and was overall this was going on for weeks in the end he must've looked up on google and you let me have the petrol thanks John

Its entirely up to the individual retailer if they let you fill cans or indeed sell you any fuel all
