the 046 powers a 25"bar easily with no lag at all, i would imagine the 066 would cut through stone blunt with a 25" bar on it, it is more the extra bar length without having the weight of the 088. reminds me of my first 084 with 19" bar:scared1::cool1:

 

My 044 has an 18"

 

I like the 25" on the 66 with a 8 tooth sprocket.:w00t:

 

How often do you cut timber thats 60" diameter???:blink:

the 8 tooth sprocket makes all the difference! with a 7tooth there is little difference in cutting speed between a 70 and 90cc saw (running 25"bars)... now, open up the muffler and massage the ports a little and try that 066 with a 9pin mwa ha ha:w00t:

 

come across any 84"dbh trees that have warranted that 42" bar yet dave?

like i said in my origional post , i would liuke a newer big saw for work within the tree . ie whan im climbing . i know i can fell nearly three times the bar size but what the hell ! i have an ms 880 so no need for that lol . i have been thinking about buying a 441 but have heard conflicting reports on them :glare:
