i just wondered what the main aspect of arb work is?

 

is it...

 

take downs

branch removal

 

giving advice

 

Its just i heard someone mention that there were companies called 'tree care' and all they do is fell trees and nothing else.

i think more take downs. but i think this is because unless you get a customer that really likes there trees people dont want to spend money on having reductions and thins the only thing they will pay for is to have it removed completely. and some will only pay for that if they are told its dangerous and really should come down for safety.

 

I also think that people who decide to have there trees felled due to them blocking sunlight dont realise that a crown lift or thin can help rather than just felling it.

I am a tree surgeon I mainly do autopsies.

 

Do a bit of everything,but has others have said its hard get people to spend on maintenance.

 

In my case most of the tds are not trees of great value,they are usually,deceased or damaged or just poor specimens.
