21!!! It's got to be a record? Normally I'd agree with you but given the 'quality' of one or two of the people listed you'd have to quote about £60 to get it. I'd prefer customers who want a decent company not the absolute cheapest!

They don't even want a site visit, it's definitely the absolute cheapest gets it kind of job..

"Hi there,

I am looking for someone to clear a shrub, cut a tree down to the ground and dispose of the parts responsibly. The tree - a pine free with a 10-inch girth approximately and about 15-feet high - is located near to a house, in an ungated front garden so easily accessed. Thanks for letting me know how much you would charge for the job, all inclusive. "

I had one with 30 cc'd in earlier this year. I wasn't the cheapest but still got it, as I could do it soonest by tying it in with another job. He now has until tomorrow to pay or he's getting 7 days notice of small claims court proceedings. Go figure...

I suppose the risk is customer who don't want decent workers may not be decent customers?

Will the cheapest chip the brash? If not, they'll need a waste carriers licence to " dispose of the parts responsibly". Put that in you reply email.

We have had some of your biggest jobs of the back of little jobs. You never know who they might recommend you to as well. Done plenty of little jobs and picked up a nice big takedown off a family member. If it's local why not take a look she may like you and give you the job. Priced a £2200 job this afternoon of the back of a recommendation and he now wants to go ahead. If your stacked with work then maybe you can afford to leave it but no one knows what's round the corner!
