Hey All,

Buying a transit tipper and I'm going to want a Chip Box built on the back. I'd like to ask your advice on the best option. Ply, steel, ali or a mixture and, importantly, what overall cost I'll be looking at?

Thanking you...

Hmmmm..

Not sure. That's why I want to hear options and what others have paid. I'm looking for the average. Strong enough to be durable but not high-end budget.

Ply if your on a budget, wouldn't bother with steel personally.

Ali plank does look nice and is fairly light and strong, it will cost around £600 in materials for a full box.

Do you already have the Trannie? I was also looking to add a tree body but found a factory built one already fitted to a 2006 lwb, with high ally plank arb body & separate tool box for £6.4. I was told it'd be at least £3k to replace just the body, which I thought was a steep.
