Tipper ram

The pipe from my tipper ram to the pump blew today, I went and got another pipe made up and put it on and filled the tank up with oil. When I press my tipping button the pump works for a few seconds before the ram works, I guess that's now got air in?? How do I bleed the Ram?

I have always found the air works itself out

Once you've tipped a couple of heavy loads it will have cleared IME. You don't tend to need to bleed air out of hydraulic systems on the pressure side of the pumps due to the high pressures involved.

Tip to maximum, then lower all the way, keeping your finger on the button for a few extra seconds once its down.

Is your oil level at its maximum level?

Is fluid level ok?

Try parking looking up a steep hill, and raise and lower the trailer a few times.Hopefully the ram port will be at the highest point and the air will be expelled.
