On the Kona?

It has poploc but it doesn't lock it out completely. Not sure if I have it set up correctly. Is it supposed to eliminate all travel or just reduce it?

On mine I can lock both shocks out so it minimise travel, next setting is medium and then I can open it fully for blasting downhills!! Fox shocks rock!!

Well on Sunday I went out with a couple of lads I have known for a lot of years but not been riding with, they took me on one of their favourite routes. It starts at Brathay car park in Ambleside and heads up towards tarn howes, past the drunken duck pub, you turn off up a nice bit of single track wich climbs up to iron Keld, that's a great decent down and we ended up near hodge close quarry, then into cathedral quarry from there we went to langdale, chapel stile and back along loughrigg terrace. 16 mile of really good mountain biking. If anyone is ever up this way give me a shout.

Lakeland Monster Miles- 2015 Adventure Cross Series - Cycling Weekly

The lakeland monster miles adventure cross

I did it in 2013. Awesome event riding around skiddaw etc and in to whinlatter

Suitable for MTB or cyclocross bikes

Only did the shorter route, in 5hours 40 mins

I was supposed to do it in 2013 but broke my colar bone, did the long one in 2014.. on a cyclocross bike.. amazing ride but would have be much more fun on a mountain bike..

Yesterday's ride, returning from a few hours 'hors piste' South of Essaouira on the coast.

Temperatures up to low 40c inland away from the eternal sea breeze.

Spent last week in and around the Atlas mountains a mix of tarmac, gravel and very tough broken surface. Tough because at least on gravel you can get up a decent lick of speed.

I'm riding a Specialized tricross single speed that I converted to 5spd hub gear.

I found miles of vicious thorny scrub covered in hibernating snails.

Plenty to eat and drink in the few towns en route.

A pot of delicious mint tea 60cents

A tagine (stew) 300cents

I drink alot of smoothies, juices and yoghurt which are plentifull and cheap.

Fresh squeezed sugar cane with lime juice gives a boost for 35cents

Those little melons that I find on the road verges are inedible and only camels seem to eat them.

Weirdly, exactly the same melons are found up the Stuart Highway in OZ brought over by camel drivers building the railway.
