Been down about 2 weeks Is starting to split a bit unfortunately

 

House was built 1930 so guess the tree was same age

The biggest stem of rhoddy I have had was 18" in diameter and was a beautiful red colour all the way through. Very hard as well and strange for a plant that grows so fast. I used to cut them all up for pen blanks.
