What length do split your billets?

What length do you split you billets,just started splitting them and doing them 38" long for 4, 9 1/2" long logs ,o.k we will of course have some shorter lengths. Just wondering what length the rest of you do them .Excuse the extremely basic question.

1 metre in soft wood or 1.25 in nice hardwood or if bent and horrible then 1 metre to mix in with the softwood for the boiler.
