Polydine is supposed to be the mutts, but unless you're rigging really bloody big I can see the point in spending that much over say, Sirius.

 

 

I've been using 16mm Polydine for several years now.

Excellent because its stretchy, in a good way, and runs perfectly on the bollard.

I use 12mm Sirius with my portable capstan winch and it's holding up pretty well considering the amount of abuse it's taken, easy to tie and untie even after max pull (2t) on the winch, seems to be very low stretch which is exactly what I need.

 

Also looked really nice before I started to use it, used to be red/white, now light brown/dark brown :biggrin:
