Not that you really need the info thats there, as long as its yours and you listed when it was put into active use that should be enough, i just log the serial number so that i can identify as mine as most climbers i work with have one.

Is it not LOLER'd??

You don't need the info there to have it passed fit for use by an approved loler inspector, it may of become unreadable, but anyone fit to inspect climbing gear should still be able to pass it fit for use or not without it.

Hello

Been pulled today on site for not having written daily inspection sheets for all climbing gear. A visual inspection before use isnt enough anymore:cursing:. Has anyone got a generic copy of one that can be used for all climbing equipment I could use. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Does anyone know where the label with the serial num and date of manufacture ect is on the treemotion harness:confused1:?

Cheers

Ben

You don’t need a written daily inspection on climbing gear. Yes, give it a visual; tactile inspection before using but it doesn’t need to be recorded (unless its your company policy and your were pulled by a internal member of staff)

As you should be aware, it should be LOLER'D, as I understand at 'regular intervals', be it two weeks, 3 or even 4 - depending on how often the kit is used, by yourselves and then every 6 months by an independant.

:cursing:Its less than 2 months old but I thought I would make a start with the records so I didnt have loads of paper war in one hit. Besides the inspection sheet have to marry up with the item some how as Ive been told my krabs need permanent markings so they cannot be mistaken for other ones that look similar:w00t:. 1 sheet for 1 item. bollox:cursing:

Indeed.

But surely you would use what ever ID has been used on the LOLER Cert on the daily sheet.
