Fabricated steel John. It's probably 20 years old and still looks like new. Not used all the time though but honestly can't fault it.

HI ANDREW i had small years ago done me well DADS looking for a large stove as it a large room going into the staircase so heat will go up it no good only 10kw that will not be any good for us thanks all keep your eyes out for a large stove 16kw plus thanks jon

Have a look at the Dowling Stoves site. The Sumo (wood only) is a fine piece of kit. All welded steel, no bricks or ropes or other wearing bits. Not to everyone's taste to look at, but the best stove I've ever had for heat return on wood. ZigZag is multi-fuel, and will heat a cathedral. :thumbup1:

Hi Jon, I've got a 16kw woodwarm with a back boiler. we love it, it keeps a very old draughty house toasty.

Jon , our Charnwood is 6kw , sitting room is 23ft x 17 ft . When the stove is warmed up it's roasting , gotta open the door into the hall .

 

Hi TREES dad has old house he only like to use wood stove in the back room 6kw may be ok in your new house or run with other heating but in a old house them calculation figures are no good whatsoever 6 kilowatt will not warm it up mate thanks Jon

I've got a Euroheat Harmony 3 stove in a French stone barn. Burns oak. I've had it 10 years now -never been a problem. Goes through the night. Big, solid, cast iron. It does the job very well.

Hi HANSER I've got one too it one of the best stove on the market it 5 years old EGGS LOVES IT I'm looking for one for my DAD but I was told there not made now like all things great not made any any more as it put people out of work last to long thanks Jon
