First timer working with a unimog.

Nice bit of equipment, takes a lot of work out of your hands :001_smile:

 

Got to agree with you . Nice set up with the crane on the Mog . Mechanical advantage is everything ! :001_smile:

Good bit of kit. Is there a reason he wasn't using crane cuts?

i assume by crane cuts you mean step cuts?

 

if that's the case it is because the crane couldn't get directly underneath the stick because it was too short that is why i felled them and then cut the hinge.

i have to admid i wished the operator wouldn't put so much tension on the strop when i was cutting the hinge

I was gonna ask the same question like you wanna be really care full shock loading a crane !! Felling on to slings and picking up is good but I would not of been happy at all with most those cuts for picking bits off... Nice rig 😀
